Black and Brown Unity
In response to the growing unrest in our communities, we sought to reject the narratives thrust upon on city of racial divides. Through ongoing efforts looking to cross perceived divides amongst groups, we wanted to make our mission clear:
We will not act out of fear and let racism guide how we treat each other or how we protect our neighborhoods. We will also not allow violence or the fear of violence to overcome our neighborhoods. We will not tolerate the destruction of hard working, family-owned businesses. We will stand strong and stand together.
We stand in solidarity with our Black brothers and sisters.
We are united in support of the peaceful protests taking place across the country.
We are committed to align our work in the pursuit of social justice and equity.
We will listen.
We will not be silent.
We will continue to work relentlessly, alongside Black communities, to identify and address root causes of institutional racism.
